Confirmation Homework

Week 020109

Hi everyone!

Here is what we'll be starting tomorrow 1/25/09 and covering for the rest of January and Through February - the First and Second Article in the Catechism.

A left field question: how many years have the kids been coming to confirmation with Mr. Wells?

1) In class on the 25th, I will be doing the "hand Bible worksheet again" - show me where the books belong in pen, then after trying your best, stop and use a pencil to complete so I can see which ones are "in the head" or "looked up after the memory was exhausted"

2) Since the hand Bible worksheet it is not a quiz, but rather a completion exercise,  time must be taken & spelling must be perfect on the looked-parts because they have the Bible in front of them.  No correcting the penned memory answers.  Erasing the pencil-written answers for correctness is great!

4) We are diggin' into the Articles of Faith: so have look over the first Article and work on memorizing it.  Page 105 (the text in the black box (this will take some time, if they are making progress, the continue on only to the second one, pp115-116) and then onto p. 144 for the person of the Holy Spirit.

5) I should be seeing some work tomorrow afternoon or, at the very latest, before class from everyone except the Kourics (who are still gone)....the 9 sentences and one paragraph emailed to me with parent's typed signature.  We're doing this to help get used to spending structured time with confirmation stuff.  If you are finished the homework, email it to me right away.  We will discuss it 1/25 and February 1, 2009.  Keep up the good work everyone!

6) I am missing some people's Courage in Commandments project.  It was due some time ago.
I hope Disney is great!  I heard it's somewhat cold though....!
