Congregational Disaster Response Teams
Bob Tribble, Coordinator

Lutheran Disaster Response encourages congregations to form a Disaster Response Team to deal with natural and human caused disasters in their local area. A natural disaster involves the forces of nature and creation, such as a hurricane, flood, windstorm, fire or tornado that severely affects the lives and property of several families in a congregation or community. A human caused disaster includes events such as an explosion, the collapse of a structure, the release of hazardous material, acts of terror and other events affecting communities or congregations
beyond their ability to respond.

One congregation, Christ Our Shepherd in Peachtree City, GA. (Pastor John Webber) currently has a Congregational Disaster Response Team initiative is Coordinator Pastor John Weber is working with Bob to be models for all congregations to develop Disaster Teams.

If you have any questions about forming a Congregational
Disaster Response Team, contact Bob Tribble at
404/313-7878 or trib713@juno.com or Pastor Weber at Christ Our Shepherd (770/487-8717).
