Youth Programs
GRIP Afterschool Program
The GRIP afterschool program (God Represented In People)
meets during the school year at Trinity Lutheran Church. The
program is free and open to the public.
GRIP I for students in grades 1-4 meets on Wednesdays from
3:15 to 5:30 p.m. Students may ride the bus to the program from
Hillsdale Elementary school with parent permission. Parents are
responsible for picking up their children at the end of the program.
GRIP I offers non-denominational Christian education, games,
an afterschool snacks, and a variety of hands-on projects and
learning opportunties.
GRIP II for students in grades 5-8 meets on Tuesdays from
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Students may walk to the program from the middle
school. GRIP II programming varies depending on participants,
but includes a snack, games, projects and learning opportunities.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is offered in the summer usually in July and is open to any
area youth from preschool through grade 5. The event includes
crafts, songs, Bible stories, snack, games. By combining efforts
with the United Methodist Church, we serve an average of 70 children
with this ministry.
Sunday morning Christian Education
Sunday morning Christian Education is offered October through
May at 9:15 a.m. All ages are welcome to come learn more about
the Bible, the church and our part in God's work. Once a month
we gather with all ages for a fellowship breakfast and family
activity. The activity varies and may include a group game, service
project, or craft.
