Good Shepherd's Mission:
- Follow Jesus
- Reaching out to All
- Sharing the Gospel

- Therefore, if any
one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold the new
has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

As
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church approaches its 115th year of existence,
we become more and more aware of the ways in which God continues to create us
and recreate us.
While this congregation is deeply grateful for the experiences of God’s
grace in the past, we are also eager to find what God has for us in the future.
We know that God is calling the people of Good Shepherd to action in the
name of Jesus and nothing will ever be the same again. That’s what we know
from the stories of the call of Abraham
(read
Genesis 12: 1-9 or Genesis chapters 12 to 50),
the
call of Isaiah (read Isaiah 6: 1-13),
the
call of Peter (Matthew 4: 18 to 25 and Luke 5: 1-11)
and
the call of Paul (Acts 9: 1-19).
God’s
call leads us into an unknown future.
What
we do know is that we are called into this future together.
With anticipation, we
go forward in the name of Jesus.
