Even though the local political situation has caused some "pauses," it has never stopped the spread of the Gospel in Guatemala. The Lutheran Center continued to be an important part of the Lutheran Church in Guatemala and even experienced new growth in its ministry. |

Changes, Growth, and Ministry |

| In the 1960's the property became the home of the Lutheran Hour Ministry offices (CPTLN) and recording studios. The congregation was reorganized with the new name of "la Resurreción." Later, the national Lutheran church decided to expand the use of the Lutheran Center as the main gathering site for church conferences, meetings, retreats, and guest housing. |
| Over time, using the facilities for retreats and other gatherings became a major focus. In the early 1990's, the Lutheran Hour vacated its offices here, to be later relocated in Guatemala City. The number of other Christian groups using the Lutheran Center grew rapidly. For a while the Peace Corp held their orientation sessions at the center while their own facilities were being readied. Numerous NGO's and other human development organizations have repeatedly met at the Lutheran Center. |

| Missionary Housing |
| The more modern house in the northwest corner was the home of the first Lutheran missionary family serving in Guatemala, the Rev. and Mrs. Robert Gussick. Since that time it has been the home of various missionaries and church workers. Today it is used by Lutheran Bible Translators for a missionary couple, Dan and Kay Finley. |
