Pine Car Rally • April Bike Ride • Finale

Pine Car Rally
Both the Girls and Boys will be participating in the Pine Car Rally. The cars techniques will be discussed during the normal meetings beginning January 16. Pioneers will provide the block of wood, wheels and axels. The participants are responsible for the paint, decals and working on the car at home. The participant should work on their car, with adult supervision. The cars will be raced and judged for Craft. Instructions will come home with the participants. If a sibling or adult wants to race and craft judged in the open class the cost is $5 per car.

The local Pine Car Rally will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Sunday, March 12th. Registration will take place between 11:00 and noon. A light lunch will be served and racing will begin at 12:30pm.

On Saturday, March 18 there will be a Boy Pioneer District Rally at Friedens, Kenosha. There will be a cost for entry and lunch. The District Rally is open to all Boy Pioneer members. The Girl Pioneers will be racing that weekend also, location and further details will be posted soon.

All cars that place in the District Rally will be sent to the Pioneer National Rally and Convention. The leaders will get the information out, as it is available.

Bike Ride
April 29 - 1:00pm - 4:00pm

We'll meet at Van Patten Woods Forest Preserve, near shelter A (map of forest preserve: http://www.lcfpd.org/docs/map_22037.pdf).

Bring your bike, helmet, permission slip and water. Snacks will be provided. Parents are welcome to join us on the ride as well.

Finale
May 1 - 6:30pm - 8:00pm

This is an event to celebrate the accomplishments of our Pioneers, Sunbeams, and Buckaroos. We will hand out Awards, Charms and Medals at this meeting. After the Awards an Ice Cream Social will be held. This is for participants, adults and others. ALL ARE WELCOME TO COME.
