About Us
OSLC
Our Saviour Lutheran Church is "A 50 year old congregation"
founded upon mission outreach to the Endwell community and beyond. OSLC began as a mission of Holy Nativity Lutheran in the North Side Fire Hall in September of 1956. Construction began in January , 1960 and our building dedication held on June 18th, 1963.
Construction of our fellowship hall, kitchen and parlor began in Fall of 2003, dedication in October 2004. We have found that as our American culture grows more individualistic and diverse, the need for a variety of ministries has increased.
The leadership of Our Saviour prides itself in traditional ministries, yet finds new ways to connect with our diverse culture.
In 1991 a second more "Contemporary" service to meet the growing needs of a "younger" church goer offering a more relaxed atmosphere and modern praise and worship music. We continue to build upon our strengths of hospitality and welcome, music ministries, youth ministries and a comfortable church building with plenty of parking.
We welcome you to browse our web site to see what we have to offer you, your family and friends. Then come and visit us anytime to experience the people that are "a growing, caring community of Our Saviour."
What We Believe
Our Saviour Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
The Bible is our Scripture, and is the authoritative source of our beliefs. We believe in the Biblical message of God's love and grace for us, and we
respond to God through faith and by giving our lives to God.
We accept the Apostle's Creed as our historic statement of faith, and practice baptism
as the beginning of our life with God, and Holy Communion to nurture our faith. A life of prayer and devotion to God is important. Our Saviour
and its people are the "tool" through whom God works to bring you God's love and grace.
We also believe and look for the creative power of the Holy
Spirit to inspire us, help us look to the future by developing new ministries, and guide and correct us.
