Thrivent Financial For Lutherans

”Created by the merger of Aid Association for Lutherans and Lutheran Brotherhood, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is a unique blend of financial savvy and service to members and communities As the country's largest fraternal benefit society, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans does more than offer financial services. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans offers three chapter Care programs that encourage our members and others to come together, through grassroots volunteer activities, to help those in need and to benefit communities and Lutheran congregations/organizations

Thrivent volunteers are having a busy year of sponsoring community events.
A few of the Community projects included.

Mom's House Rocker-thon in April
"Join Hands Day" at the Zoo in May
A Youth "Golf Tournament" at Chuckster's in Vestal for grades 6-12 in June
In August we will be hosting an "Identity Theft Workshop to be held at OSLC.
We will be hosting a Samaritan Counseling Center Bavarian Dinner again this fall.
In October: We will have walkers in the CHOW Hunger Walk. This and other CHOW programs are supported regularly by members of OSLC.
A members cruise on Seneca Lake. In November a Financial workshop "Charitable Giving" will be held at OSLC.
In December the Mom's House "Breakfast with Santa"

All of these projects were financially supported by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Our local chapter includes Lutheran Churches in the Binghamton area as well as congregations from the Oneonta, Sidney, Delhi area who have projects of their own.

"Join Hands Day" a group of fifty of us from the various churches swarmed on Ross Park to help get it ready for opening.
We joined in sweeping, painting, weeding, raking and spreading mulch. The horses were left to the caring hands of our youth.
