Celebration Choir

The Celebration Choir supplys the musical message during OSLC's traditional worship services lead by our Organist Dolores Skogfeldt.

The musical selections cross a wide gamut, from traditional hymns to rhythmic spirituals and contemporary works for three- and four-part choir.

Works employing obbligato instrumentation are also a favorite as they allow more than just the singers to present a message of faith and hope to the congregation.

Rehearsals for the Celebration Choir take place on Wednesday night, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. New members are always welcome and encouraged. Come bring your voice to our musical celebration and worship of our Lord!

"Since the 2004 Lenten season the Celebration Choir has begun embarking on presenting major works for choir and full orchestra. Our first endeavor was John Stainer's "The Crucifixion." Since this work had not been orchestrated previously our director, Craig Hawkins, arranged the organ accompaniment for strings, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet and timpani.
