FLYTE has been involved in many activities.
In absolutely no chronological order,
here is a sample of what we've done in the past couple of years!
Ice Skating
Every year, usually in January, FLYTE goes ice skating at the Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex.
We don't claim to be professional skaters by any stretch of the imagination, though!
Annual Retreat
Every year in March or April, FLYTE goes away for a weekend of fellowship and spiritual renewal.
We spend the weekend at Camp Caroline Furnace in Virginia.
For the past two years, we have gone to Luray Caverns to take in the magnificence of God's world.

Souper Bowl Sunday
FLYTE participates in the annual Souper Bowl Sunday.
It happens every year on the actual Super Bowl. Our church members bring in crockpots full of all kinds of different soups.
All proceeds from the free will offering benefit a local charity focused on eliminating hunger.
The charity chosen for 2008 was CCAP/Loaves and Fishes, a local food bank.
Youth Sunday
This year, FLYTE re-started an old tradition - Youth Sunday!
Youth Sunday is a day in which the members of FLYTE do everything during the church service.
We had a youth band (drums, electric guitars, the works!) and an all-youth choir.
One of the FLYTE members, Joseph, gave the message for the day.
FLYTE Room Re-Vamp
The summer of 2007 brought with it LOTS of paint and furniture moving!
The members of FLYTE decided they needed a place of their own, so everyone worked hard to make it so!
Easter Breakfast
One tradition for FLYTE on Easter is to bring all members of the group out, before the sun even thinks of rising, to finish up cooking for the Easter Breakfast.
The breakfast is served right after the sunrise service, and is such a hit we couldn't DREAM of stopping!
Easter Egg Hunt
Another Easter tradition is for the FLYTE members to hide candy- and prize-filled eggs for the kids.
