The Twelve Days of
Christmas
On my quest to write my
own Christmas Program, I wanted to begin by rewriting the Twelve Days of
Christmas. It was not going well, so I did some research online and found
out the true meaning of that song. Some teachers in England wrote this song to help
their students remember the basics of faith. So, they wrote the Twelve Days
of Christmas. Each verse has to do with faith and Christian living. (For
example, the two turtle doves represent the Old and New Testaments.) As I read this, a thought
came into my mind: how many people really know what the lyrics mean?
This
program is a product of that thought.
