FOUR AND A HALF YEARS The Lord of the harvest, according to his wisdom, has seen fit to pour new talent into this church on a regular basis. Maybe he is reminding us that it isn't the man that is important, but rather the 'living and enduring Word of God,' which is the necessary foundation for our church. The words of Pastor Lemke (1931-1938) remind us: "Pastors have come and pastors have gone; but our Lord Jesus, the Lord of our Church, has promised to be with you forever until the end of the world. And may his saving Gospel be ever continued to be proclaimed in your church in all its saving truth and power unto the salvation of many souls." - congratulatory letter for St. Paul's 75th anniversary Pastor Vertein prays that the Lord will allow him to serve many years in Crandon, preaching that very Gospel message.
