The Arlington Chapter enthusiastically supports our neighbors in Arlington and beyond in many ways. We collect hundreds of boxes of cereal each summer for Arlington Food Assistance Center. We raise money for the American Cancer Society through Relay For Life. We walk together in the CROP Walk to fight hunger. We are always looking for other ways to serve. Ideas?? Advent began the "Great Cereal Race - 2009" by collecting over 100 boxes in May. Our Savior is collecting in June, followed by Faith in July and Resurrection in August. Dozens of folks gathered at Faith on May 31 -- Join Hands Day -- to sort 1000's of pounds of sweet potatoes. Without their efforts, all that food would have been left to rot in farmers' fields, and 100's of families would have gone hungry. See pictures below!
