Lord of Life organized in 1977 and moved to our present location, beside Garner's Lake Benson Park, in 1991. During the congregation's first quarter century they have been served by three pastors: the Rev. Tom Ford was the mission developer who served until 1978, the Rev. Ron Grunke served from 1979 until 1984, and Pastor Joseph Tallent served from 1985 until 2002. We invite you to join us in our community in Christ for worship and other activities. If you have questions you may call our office, normally open from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., or send us an e-mail. In addition to worship, education, and fellowship we sponsor a pre-school. Please note our summer schedule is now in session. Gathering Time at 9:00 am; Worship Service at 10 am. During the school year our Sunday morning schedule includes: an 8:30 a.m. contemporary Communion liturgy; an 11:00 a.m. traditional service with Communion on the first and third Sundays and festivals. A nursery attendant is at both services; a "cry" (or nursing) room is also available. Sunday School for children, youth, and adults is at 9:45. On Fellowship Sundays we have Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. with one service at 10:30. Remaining dates for 2002 are: September 8, November 17, and December 29. On Wednesday we have a Family Night beginning with a simple supper at 6:00 p.m. followed by activities for all ages; including children's, chancel, and chime choir rehearsals. Special services are offered during Advent, on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and during Lent. A Bible study discussion group meets on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. Men are invited to morning prayer weekly on Thursday at 7:15 a.m. and women monthly on the second Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. There is also a men's study and support group which meets every other Tuesday evening. Cub and Boy Scouts meet on Monday nights and Girl Scouts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. The 5-Star Preschool and Kindergarten is nationally accredited and has classes for children 3-5.
