...seek that which is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God. -Colossians 3: 1It's been 2 weeks already since we arrived. Time sure flies, huh?
We found a truck--a '95 Nissan with a camper shell. Nice and green. It reminds us of Paul's early years working in rural North Florida with his
Nissan truck.
We found a family car--a '95 Mitsubishi SUV. The deal will hopefully be sealed tomorrow on that one.
We haven't found a house. We've been looking at lots of them, but haven't found just the right one. We are really wanting to be a bit away from the city and have a bit of a yard and have room to have people stay over if they need a place on their way to the airport or such. Now the question is "Does God want that for us?" We are in this temporary apartment for another week and a half. So, we'll see what God brings our way. St. Paul reminds us to be content in all things, right?
The kids are doing quite well in school. They are making friends and keeping up with their school work. The supportive atmosphere and fellowship of the missionary community there has already been such a blessing. Luke and the rest of the high schoolers go off to a spiritual retreat this weekend.
Tammy went to a cancer specialist here today. It is the same doctor she saw before while in Guatemala. He has her scheduled for the monthly IV bone treatment on Thursday morning. That will make her feel not so well for a couple days.
We met with our fellow LBT missionaries in Guatemala yesterday. That was great to have that fellowship and prayer time together and to have a brief meeting of the LBT work ahead here. It is good to get going on some work here.
In His Hands,
Paul and Tammy and Kids
