Crossroads Guatemala gets underway

(10 Aug 03) A dozen or so North Americans are traveling in Guatemala this week to learn more about the life and work of Bible-translator missionaries.

The week-long experience, sponsored by Lutheran Bible Translators provides first hand exposure to what it is takes to be a missionary. Participants travel to Uspantan and Las Pacayas where Stan and Margot McMillian have worked since 1974 translating the Bible and developing literacy work.

LBT's Guatemala Field Director Dan Finley designed the event to include both meeting missionaries, visiting sites of LBT translation work, and touring some of Guatemala's most popular destinations.
