Lutheran Ministries in Jamaica Prayers – March 2004
Missionaries: Rev. Bruce & Amy Lesemann, Eunice Florip, Gordon Petersen 1. Give thanks to God for the baptism in January of little Aaron Anderson and ask God to keep him and his family always ready to listen to God's word so that they can grow in faith.
2. Ask our great Creator for His continued care as we enter the dry season.  Ask for His blessings on our water sources to remain ample enough for all to be able to have this life-giving gift of God. 3. Thank the Lord for the TBC radio station that continues to air the Lutheran Hour at a reasonable price, and thank Him for local business sponsorships of some of the broadcasts. 4. Petition the Holy Spirit to instill a feeling of commitment in the hearts of the youth receiving confirmation instruction, that they may complete the course by Easter and know the joy of participating in Holy Communion. 5. Lift praises and thanks to God that the National Library of Jamaica heard our taped broadcast of a Lutheran Hour interview with Haile Salassie and asked us for the tape and for materials on our ministry to be put on display at the Library. Pray that this will help more people to know about our ministry and help them to seek God's guidance through us. 6. Give thanks to God for the successful strategy meeting in Florida of the missionaries (on and off site) working together to build up the Tagakaulo Lutheran Church of Christ in the Philippines. May His blessings also rest on the family time following that Pastor Lesemann is now sharing with Amy and the children as they visit with their parents. 7. Give thanks to God that Rev. Patrick and Jennifer O'Neal of Algona, Iowa, have accepted a call by the LCMS Board for Mission Services to serve as missionaries to Jamaica.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide them as they make preparations to leave their current ministry and take up work in Jamaica in the summer.
