May the Peace that passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus! Phil. 4:7Praise the Lord for His goodness and unending mercies!
We're happy with reports that Tammy's blood work and bone scan in Houston last month showed that the cancer tumors have not spread further, and in fact, may have even shrunk a bit. Thank you for our comrades in prayer!
Yesterday's bone treatment went well. The new port (little gadget installed last month under her skin to allow access to veins without IVs each time) worked fine. She's a little sluggish today but feeling well.
Luke is off to a 3-day servant event this afternoon. His class will be
doing maintenance projects at a mission center during the mornings and providing a children's outreach program each afternoon. The younger classes will spend just one day working at a mission site on Friday. May God cultivate an attitude of service their whole lives.
Ethan and Erin have joined the volleyball team at school. They say they
aren't very good but enjoy being on a team. Luke and Josiah have been
attending basketball practice a couple afternoons a week. We're thankful for this opportunity in their growing years. The kids are also thrilled with the new puppies and kittens at our house and are praying for good homes for them.
This weekend we're off to our old stomping ground of Chuisuc de Cantel, near Quetzaltenango. We even get to camp out in the little house on the mountain, our old home there. These couple days will give us the time to get going on the radio drama program, initiate the new video projector, and do some follow up on the Bible storying and the literacy project in that area. At least those are our plans. We're hoping the ex-soldiers' protests won't block off the main roads. God's plans will prevail.
Peace as you walk beside Him this Lenten season,
Paul and Tammy and Kids
