CARBY CHAPEL CENTER DEDICATION

SUNDAY APRIL 25, 4:00 P.M. LUTHERHILL THE CARBY CHAPEL CENTER WAS DEDICATED. Remember Swiss Alp Congregation was responsible for purchasing the land that is now Lutherhill under the leadership of Pastor Eilers. Also remember that Mr. Carby was a member of Swiss Alp as was his sister Anita Laux. Mr. Carby gave all or most of the funds to build the chapel. Leona Bauer, still a member of our congregation (with the best Sunday attendance record) served as registrar for many years and in many other positions at Lutherhill. Wayne, Nora and Brad Otto and Alice Schuetze have volunteered many years of service. James, Ricky and Daniel Hatfield, Chad, John and Michael Davis reroofed, added porches, repaired and remodled most of the cabins. They reroofed the cafeteria and recreation building. As a congregation workday project the chapel in the woods was cleaned and refurbished. Gale Lincke has served on the Lutherhill Board for more than 10 years and as chairman of the board several years during the planning of the Carby Chapel Center.
