In the morning we learned our task (hanging sheetrock), and set off to working. We started with the big pieces. As we got better at it less people were needed for each piece, leaving me with a little time to run around and get some pictures. |

We spent half an hour to rest, eat, and talk. It felt good to sit outside and eat the wonderful barbeques, salad, and bars. Then I made everyone stand together for a quick group picture. |

The afternoon picked up as we moved to smaller pieces, got better aquainted with the job, and spread out some more. I got too busy to run around taking pictures (and my camera was getting full), but I managed to sneak off to photograph the two who joined us for the afternoon.
Thank you to all those who worked that day. The foreman even said that he was pleasantly surprised at how much work we had gotten done.
Also, thank you to the Habitat for Humanity people for giving us the opportunity to come and help, it was a wonderful experience. |
