One of the most powerful tools that Satan uses to keep us down is
ADDICTION. Once we've come to realize that a destructive habit is
'beyond our control,' we lose hope of ever getting out of the
hole that we've dug for ourselves.

Though we feel ashamed for allowing ourselves to become prisoners
to such 'needs,' there is forgiveness from God. He has dealt with our
shame by placing it on Christ. If you really want help, let go of your
shame and put it on the cross. Accept responsibility for your addict-
ion and seek help. Part of recovery is leaning on God for help. Another
part is seeking assistance through the people God has place in your
life or whom God wants to be in your life to help you. If you live near
Crandon, give Pastor Vertein a call for the spiritual assistance you need.

Below are more tools to help you, but don't try breaking your addiction
alone. You don't have to.

Gambling Against the Odds
Casinos were not built to make the poor gamblers rich. They wouldn't
be able to afford to build such beautiful and expensive casinos, unless
they were really raking in the dough. The odds are always against the
gambler. Not only that, but gambling feeds our sinful nature which dreams
of being rich... without exerting the effort to earn it.

Countless homes and marriages are broken and destroyed by the addictive
impluse to gamble. This dark habit can lead to cheating others and
stealing in order to maintain it. If it has you caught, seek help!

Drinking to Oblivion
Though alcohol can make our problems seem far away, when the bottle is
empty, we find that more and worse problems confront us. Break the cycle.

Pornography Is An Addiction Too
Do you find that you are spending more and more time on the internet,
looking at things that make you feel ashamed? Do you have a 'History
killer,' because you wouldn't want your spouse, family, or boss to find out
what you've been looking at? Do you find that you're filled with a lust to
see things that at other times of the day fill you with disgust? Do you find
yourself in chat rooms talking to people about things that later repulse you?
Is your marriage's love life impaired, because you have begun to fantasize
about things and other people that you wouldn't dare bring into your
marriage bedroom?

America's new dark secret is destroying countless people, who have
been caught in a cycle of masturbation and pornography. Many Christians
have stumbled due to this new and daibolical assault by Satan.

If pornography has dirtied your life, you need help. Swallow your shame,
and as difficult as it is, tell somebody. This is an addiction which
has symptoms just like other addictions: gambling, drinking, and taking
drugs.

There are two people that you need to reveal this to, in order to assure
the support necessary to start on your path to recovery. Your pastor
is aware of this addiction and can help you through God's Word to overcome
it. And you need someone close - like your spouse. You deserve to have
your heart and mind in control again!

Below is a link that can help... especially consider their X3watch.
Their theology isn't always perfect, but they have a lot of common
sense approaches. If you would like anonymous help, contact the pastor
by email.
