So what?...have I been up to? After garage saling Saturday morning, I met Karen at the new yarn shop in Cedar Park. Way yummy! I oohed and aahed and came home with the little book you see in the picture. It is mini knitting on toothpicks and you can make greeting cards with them. I thought it would be fun to do - especially with all the sock yarn I just received. It looks cute so I bought it. I never pay full price for books so this was a big splurge for me. I also grabbed the ball of Squiggle yarn you see in the pic with the newly cast on tank. The tank is being constructed from a tank I pulled apart. A $2 g. sale purchase that had a huge cowl neck on it. Uh, not for a tank - thanks. I'm hoping I have enough yarn for the tank pattern I started - Marla by Berroco. We'll see. If not, I'll be frogging and restarting. I think the squiggle will be a cute scarf to go with the tank.

I'm also plugging away at the NETA socks and the Bain Bag. I put beads on the bag instead of a row of blue that the pattern calls for. I remembered the wooden beads I bought last year at a g. sale. Some little kid was selling her lot of beads from jewelry making and I had to have them. I think the bag will look snazzy with the added bonus of beads. I'm thinking of using this for my traveling shampoo/conditioner/contact supplies. We'll see. Who knows with me!? The socks are coming along but I'm having a hard time keeping up with the pattern. It is a repeat of 4 rows - not bad, but I get lost sometimes.

We spent Saturday evening and night out at Lake Buchanan. The brother of a friend of ours had a couple houses for the weekend. We piled in the truck and headed to Llano. It was a fun thing and I'm glad we went. DSIL & I found a stash of games and puzzles so we put a good dent in getting one together. It was hard to throw all our hard work in the box but it kept us out of trouble while working on it. Can't say the same for the guys - the booze was flowing and the scenes were entertaining, to say the least.

Working on dinner - we're having steak Shish Kebobs and I made Corn Chowder from a recipe DB Donnie e-mailed to me. I guess it is his specialty so it is on our menu tonight. I gotta test his cooking likes!
