A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the minutes of the October 11, 2009 council meeeting.

Pastor’s Report: Began Confirmation classes. Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween was a great success with roughly 130 attending. Visited various members.

Treasurer's Report: Bob LeBaube has taken over making the deposits.

Committee Reports Altar Guild (Wanda) - Several volunteers have resigned. Need new volunteers.

Childcare (Virginia) - No Report

Christian Education (Donna) - Discussed proposed 2010 Budget. Finalized plans for the “Birthday Party for Jesus” before the worship service on December 20. Plans continue for the youth Christmas Program. Book of Faith initiative – continued discussions based on assessment questionnaire.

Endowment (Fred) – No report

Fellowship (Kevin) – Wednesday Evening Meals continuing through Thanksgiving.

Property (Norman) – Energy audit through Synod has been requested (no charge for this service). Planning to fix up the nativity scene.

Social Ministry (Janice) The Fellowship Sunday School Class will organize an Angel Tree in order to sponsor 3 Christmas Cheer families this holiday season. The entire congregation is encouraged to participate.

Staff Support (Dan) – The committee intends on meeting in November.

Stewardship and Finance (Bob) – Committee has a new member but is still looking for additional volunteers. Revised budget proposal developed at the called Council meeting on November 1st was presented along with a letter to the congregation explaining some of the more significant changes from last year. Several additions to the letter were suggested. A motion was made, seconded and approved to present the proposed budget to the congregation for approval. The proposed budget will be handed out at the November 15th Congregational Meeting in order to allow members to have adequate time to review the budget before the Congregational Meeting on December 13th.

Witness and Outreach (Terri) – No report.

Worship and Music (Gary) – A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the gift of a wireless mike from an anonymous donor.

Youth (Joy) – No report

Other Business – If the Strategic Plan is adopted at the Congregational Meeting, the Council will discuss implementation of the plan at the next Council Meeting. Virginia Wagoner has resigned from the Church Council. Dan will research the results of the last Council election and then the Council will elect a member to serve the remainder of Virginia Wagoner’s term.
