St. Paul's Lutheran, "The Country Church" |
Located 3 miles north and 2 miles west of Miltona, St. Paul's Lutheran is the "mother" church. It was organized into a worshiping body of Christian believers in 1890, and moved into its present location in 1905 where a 9:00 a.m. worship service and an 8:00 adult Bible class is held every Sunday, as well as Thursday afternoon services at 1:30 p.m. during Advent and Lent. In 1942 St. Paul's organized a mission sister congregation in the town of Miltona, 2 miles east of Minnesota State Highway 29. Known as Mt. Calvary Lutheran, it is currently the home of the congregations' Mid-Week Youth Program on Wednesday evenings, Summer Vacation Bible School, as well as regular worship services every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. We meet at Mt. Calvary on Thursday mornings at 9:30 for adult Bible class. Visitors are always welcome at either or both churches, whether you are a seeker or a lifelong LCMS Lutheran. |

Our Mission: |
Whereas, God so loved the world that He gave His only Son to die for us, as an atonement for our sins (1 John 4:10), so that we need not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16); and since our Heavenly Father wishes none to perish but for all to be saved (1 Tim. 2:4); and since our Lord Jesus Christ has given us the command to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34); and since as followers of Christ we are to proclaim the Good News to all (Mark 16:15); and since He has sent to us the Holy Spirit to dwell within us (John 14:16,17) and has given to all His followers certain gifts of the Spirit to use for His purpose, including that of proclaiming the Gospel message (Eph. 4:7,8; Rom. 12:6-8); therefore we, as members of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, using those gifts that God has given each of us, and believing in the power of the Holy Spirit, do propose and fully intend to reach out to those in our community in love with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, either by personal contact, by invitation or encouragement to our neighbors to join us in fellowship, Bible study and/or worship, or by any means whereby we may be a Christian witness in word and deed to the glory of Jesus Christ, our Lord. | | | | | | Site maintained by: Noel Herr mtcalstpaul@midwestinfo.net 4th & Hintzen Box 52 Miltona Minnesota 56354 United States of America Phone: 218-943-4774 |
