| Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity |
|
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International have joined together to create Thrivent Builds, a four-year, $125 million program designed to help provide a "hand up" to people to lack decent shelter.
It's a powerful example of both organizations working together in an unprecedented alliance to build homes and help individuals achieve greater economic independence. |

| Through our alliance with Habitat for Humanity, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans contributed $862,123 to support Thrivent Builds projects in the Ohio Region. Our members raised an additional $430,273 and committed 38,652 volunteer hours to help build 14 homes in 2007.Thrivent Financial contributes 65% of the funding for homes build with Habitat for Humanity through a national grant. The remaining funds come from the combined, ongoing efforts of local Habitat affiliates, Thrivent Financial chapters, and Lutheran congregations and organizations. |
