Thrivent Builds Week, May 14th - 18th
During the third week in May, hundreds of volunteers from all over Southeastern Wisconsin will come together to begin construction on 10 new homes. In conjuction with Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, the Southeast Wisconsin Region of Thrivent Financial will work side by side to start a new phase in 10 new homeowners' lives. The team of Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Builds will be working in the Harambee North Neighborhood of Milwaukee to better the lives of deserving families. This year the builds will take place on May 14 through May 18.
The week will be completed with the Thrivent Builds Brewer Game, where thousands of Thrivent members will enjoy a game on Sunday, May 20th, 2007. The pre-game ceremonies at Miller Park will include a check presentation to Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, two key presentations to the Miller Park homeowner as well as the Blitz build homeowner, and a recognition of Thrivent partners.
