Thrivent Builds for 2008 in the Twin Cities
In 2008 Thrivent Builds will constuct up to 322 homes in 42 states. The Twin Cities Region of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity to build ten homes through the efforts of its 23 Thrivent Chapters and Lutheran Congregations. This initiative will provide additional homes throughout the state of MN. Are you ready to become involved? Opportunities are available now for intereested indiviudals and churches. There are many ways that you can get involved to support our local Habitat Affiliates through this program. Provide in-kind donations of skills or materials. Lists from the affiliates are below indicating the needs that can be filled. Ride in the Habitat500 and indicate that you are riding for Thrivent Builds. Funds from your sponsors will go to our local HFH affiliates. Support your local regional and chapter fund raisers. Throughout the year this website will notify you of events and discount ticket offerings that include a contribution to our Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity efforts. Watch for newsletters and postcards from your local chapter informing you of fund raisers in your chapter area.	Carver/Hennipen Chapter at their 2006 build site.
Volunteer on a Build Site:
With or without building skills your time and effort is valuable to this effort. Groups of 15-18 people are needed each day at the following build locations: Dale Street - 3 homes (644, 646, 648 St. Paul, MN 55103) Savage - 1 home (14805 Hampshire) Ramsey - 4 units of an 8-plex ( 7255, 7259, 7263, 7267 119th Lane NW) Hutchinson - 1 unit of a twin home (534 Hilltop Dr NE) Monticello - 1 home (6720 94th St.)
