Teach Your Kids to Share was a great success!

This past April saw Thrivent members, their kids and Thrivent Financial Associates gather at Union Station in Kansas City and at the Exploration Place in Wichita. The agenda included a pizza dinner, presentations on the Thrivent Share, Save and Spend philosophy and plenty of fun time for the youngsters.

On Saturday, May 30th, Players from the Kansas City Chiefs, and Royals, along with volunteers from the corporate world, including those from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Sprint, AT&T, KCMO Police and Athletic Leagues several churches and neighborhood groups met with a goal of distributing groceries to approximately 3,000 people. Operation Blessing is an international nonprofit working around the globe. They furnished 3 tractor trailer loads (about 100,000 lbs) of palletized groceries while the coordinated volunteers placed the groceries in plastic shopping bags for distribution.

We are proud to announce that Steve Hatesohl represented the Kansas/Missouri Region on a Thrivent Builds Worldwide Trip in El Salvador in 2008. Steve was selected for this honor because of his ongoing commitment to serving the Lutheran community through successful business practices as well as his involvement with the fraternal programs in our region. Steve served the RFO as the regional ambassador, encouraging other FA’s to become involved in this important fraternal mission of Thrivent Financial in 2008.
