All Pro Dad

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has partnered with the Houston Texans' Special Teams Coordinator, Joe Marciano, to host the Thrivent Financial All Pro Dads Father & Kids experience on the Saturday afternoon before Father’s Day.

The All Pro Dad program was launched by Family First, a nonprofit organization that was founded to strengthen the family by establishing family as a top priority in people’s lives and by promoting principles for building marriages and raising children. They saw a need for a father-hood specific program, All Pro Dad, which is an energetic interactive event that allows fathers and kids to participate in relationship building activities. Girls and boys will have the opportunity to learn more about football skills and have meaningful interaction with their fathers while going through a rotation of drills. Fathers will interact with their children and learn ten ways to be an All Pro Dad. The following provides some information about the All Pro Dads Father & Kids experience:

When: Saturday, June 14, 2008, from 1:00 -- 4:00 PM

Cost: $15 per family covers the father and up to four children (Recommended for children five years and older.)

How to register: Go to the All Pro Dad website, or call 800-956-8300.

  • Advanced registration for congregations begins May 13.
  • After May 19, registration will be open to the public and will sell out quickly.

Early registration is encouraged since the event is limited to 550 fathers and their children, and is expected to sell out early.

For more information, please contact your Thrivent Financial Representative or visit one of the following websites: Family First or All Pro Dad.

Financial Education: Workshops & Seminars

More Than Money Matters

More Than Money MattersSM is a series of 90-minute interactive, values-based, financial education workshops for people who want to manage their money in ways that align with their values and long-term goals. The workshops help participants embrace stewardship as the careful and responsible management of all their God-given gifts, including their financial resources.

Participants will learn how to:

  1. Identify what’s most important in their lives and set goals.
  2. Make sharing, saving and spending decisions in line with their values.
  3. Achieve their goals by using basic money management tools to help them budget, reduce debt and find money to save.
  4. By the end of the workshop series, participants will have identified specific goals and gathered their financial information, making it easier for those who want to follow up with an FR to move smoothly into the advisory process.
More Than Money Matters consists of four core workshops and two optional workshops -- View Descriptions
