"As anorganization, we
are humbled each year to hear about the generosity, commitment
and dedication of the Volunteer Excellence Award recipients,” says Brad
Hewitt, Fraternal Operations. “We applaud each of them for reflecting
Thrivent Financial’s mission of caring for others at the highest level.”
As a recipient of the 2007 Volunteer Excellence Award, each of our
recipients were given $250 to donate to a charity of their choice. Our
LCS team will be hosting a banquet in their honor later this summer
where they will be presented with a plaque and gift to thank each of
them for their continued volunteer efforts. Congratulations again to
these outstanding volunteers, we are truly blessed to have each of these
individuals “working” for our organization.
If you know of someone whom you would like to nominate for future
consideration, please contact a member of your LCS team. Some
characteristics to keep in mind are the fact they have made that made a
significant impact in his or her chapter, community and congregation.
Nominees must be a Thrivent Financial member in good standing of a local
chapter. Thrivent Financial employees or other individuals compensated by
Thrivent Financial as employees are not eligible to receive the award.
Previous national award winners are not eligible. There are 4 categories in
which to be nominated. The first is Youth/Young Adults (up to age 25), the
second is Families with Children (an individual, couple or an entire family
who have children age 19 and under residing in the same household. You may
nominate the entire family if they volunteer together), the third is Adults
(singles, couples without children, empty nesters) and last is Retired
(retired couple or individual).
