Thrivent Builds Homes |
Through Thrivent Builds Homes, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will sponsor the construction of hundreds of additional Habitat for Humanity homes every year in the United States by combining the efforts of nearly 3 million Thrivent Financial members with Lutheran congregations and institutions, communities, partner families and Habitat affiliates. Seventy percent of the total approved cost for each home will be contributed by Thrivent Financial. The remaining funds will be raised through the combined, ongoing local efforts chapters, Lutheran congregations and Habitat affiliates. |

Thrivent Builds Worldwide |
Through Thrivent Builds Worldwide, volunteers can participate in short-term domestic and international working trips that will help end poverty housing around the world. Thrivent Financial supports these trips through collaboration with Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village program. During these trips, volunteers will build homes with those in need, develop relationships with volunteers from around the world, and take part in a unique experience. From Alaska to Zambia, Habitat for Humanity affiliates from around the world host Thrivent Builds Worldwide teams who work side-by-side with future home owners and local volunteers. Trips last one-to-three weeks and include local tours and activities. |

IMPORTANT: Thrivent Builds is an independent initiative and in no way diminishes the importance of the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans chapter Care programs. Funding is not being taken from the Care programs to support Thrivent Builds.Thrivent Financial is committed to helping its members show their care and concern for others. Since 1991, Thrivent Financial and its members have worked with Habitat for Humanity to build more than 500 homes, raise more than $25 million and contribute more than 1.4 million volunteer hours in homebuilding time. Besides the unprecedented level of financial and volunteer support this new program will bring to Habitat for Humanity, what makes Thrivent Builds different than these past efforts is the new era of collaboration between the two organizations. With Thrivent Builds, more homes can be built in less time than was possible with past programs.
