...to our Chapter Web site! It's great to have you here! The Chapter Board extends a greeting to all of you and hope you are experiencing a most prosperous year.
Our Chapter has suffered a 27.8% cut in Care Abounds in Communities funding for 2012. We have only $13,900.00 for the many needs in Monroe County this year; down from $19,265.00 last year. We can still aspire to fill as many needs as possible with what we have. You can be a conduit for getting these funds channeled to worthwhile fund raisers that will help our friends and neighbors in need in Monroe County. Please inform the Board of any upcoming fund raisers that we could supplement.
Care in Community application forms and instructions can be found in the folder on the "About Our Chapter" page. You can also call any board member for application forms.

CHAPTER MISSION STATEMENT
The Monroe County Chapter is dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life of the chapter members, their families, and their communities. Recognizing that there are many critical needs within the boundaries of Monroe County, the Board of Directors carefully review and research requests for funding by service teams from the Care Abounds in Communities monies appropriated by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Our focus is to provide spiritual and financial assistance to individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations within the county. To do this, we approve supplemental funds for fundraisers and hands-on projects that are organized by Thrivent member service teams.
The Chapter also seeks to provide family activities that encourage social interaction among all of the Chapter members.
