*ACTION IN THE COMMUNITY*

Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church is sponsoring Upward Basketball for the 6th year in 2012.
Participating at BSLC are more than 330 children from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Games are played every Saturday in January and February. The Celebration will be Feb. 26, 2012 at Lee's Summit West High School.
Upward Sports provides a fun kids sports experience based on healthy competition. Last year, more than 550,000 K5 through sixth-grade kids had a great basketball, soccer, flag football or cheerleading experience through one of our 2,400 leagues or camps.

Since we are the world's largest Christian sports league for children, there is probably a kids sports league or camp near you. Find one today!

*Reaching Out!*
The Lutheran Women's Missionary League of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Oak Grove has spent much time and effort to assist the Community Service League of Oak Grove, MO. A community wide Chili Supper was held after the Homecoming last fall and later they assisted with Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in an annual fish fry for the community. The Community Service League provides food, clothing and housing for those less fortunate that qualify within the community.
