| 2008 Year End Celebration and Annual Meeting was a success! |
The 2008 Annual Meeting and Appreciation dinner began with a social hour at 4:30 p.m. at Florian Gardens in Eau Claire. Members enjoyed an evening watching the sunset prior to the meeting starting. Then the meeting was called to order with a welcome by President Garth Melville and invocation was given by Pastor Carlton Kangas.

After dinner, Loren Hansen a Senior Partner of 20 years at Thrivent Financial spoke to members about the stability and future of Thrivent and answered questions from the audience. Then Garth Melville introduced Eau Claire Financial Associates and Regional Financial officers and presented a re-cap of events and funds distributed for 2008.Then Gary Kunz presented the slate of nominees for the 2009 Thrivent Financial, Eau Claire County Chapter Board of Directors which received unanimous votes as follows: President: Garth Melville, Vice President: Harold Page, Records Director: Kim Ruff, Assistant Financial Director: Eugene Schroeder, Community Service Team Director: Sandra Dickensen, Congregational Service Team Director: Gary Kunz, Events Director: Rebecca Tumm and Youth Director: Tim Kich. Financial Director & Communications Director were left unelected as there were no nominations.

To end the evening, Eau Claire County Chapter board members drew door prizes for several Chamber Gift certificates and the grand prize of $500 Higgens Travel Voucher. Then Garth closed with a thank you to everyone for attending. |
