A service team from the chapter has a Relay for Life team and is collecting returnable cans and bottles. We are also selling luminary bags in memory of loved ones that have lost lives to cancer or in honor of cancer survivors. They sell for $10 and the purchaser may decorate the bag or have team members do so. The bags are placed along the track on MAY 18 at dusk and lit. The Shiawassee County Fairgrounds is the location. Names of those for whom the bags are purchased will be displayed on power point that evening. We are also having a garage sale on Saturday, April 28- 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday, April 29- 11:00am to 5:00 pm at 851 Krust Dr. Owosso (Off Dewey St. 1 block north of King St. Any business sponsoring the team for $150 will have their name displayed on a cancer fact sign that will be placed along the track for the 24 hours of relay. Special forms are available for this purpose. All proceeds go to benefit the American Cancer Society. Thrivent Financial is providing 50 cents on a dollar supplemental funding up to $1600 for funds raised.
