The Lubbock Area Chapter 30126 held its first meeting of 2009 at Christ Lutheran Church in Lubbock on March 10 at 7 p.m. Our Chapter has received $12,052 in matching funds to be used for Care Abounds in Communities. A number of requests for the funds were presented to the Board. More information about those requests can be found under Care Abounds in Communities section.
We encourage you to look around your communities for needs, form a team, requests funds and approval from the Board and get busy on your activity. Remember all of us can make a difference - the board would like every community to make at least one request for Care Abounds in Communities funds.
As of 4/2/09, there are $8,002 left in Care Abounds in Communities funds.
The Care in Congregations allocation has been set at $1,020 in matching funds. It is time to start planning events in each congregation to use that money.
