Thrivent Builds
Habitat for Humanity Wall Raising.
Where: Angel's Gate Subdivision, Bryan TX.
When: April 21, 2007.
In collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, the
Thrivent Builds program will help the Temica
Searcy family own a new home. Thrivent will be contributing a total of $47,726 from a mixture of
local and national funding sources. Local Thrivent
member congregations are encouraged to participate
through funding activities and on-site construction volunteering. Congratulations to the Searcy family for
their new home.

Burleson County Fair Association
Where: Expo Center on the Burleson
Co-Fair Grounds, Caldwell, TX.
When: March 24, 2007.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherns matched $1600
of the $4782.50 raised by the Burleson County
Fair Association's Annual Fund Raiser.
In addition to the silet auction a limited
amount of tickets were sold for a dinner and a
raffle. All proceeds and matching funds went to
the scholarship fund which benefits are students
involved in the County FFA and 4-H clubs.
All Hands Day
Memorial Garden Revitalization.
Where: Hope Pregnancy Center, College Station TX.
When: April 28, 2007.
As part of the All Hands Day program, Thrivent contributed $500.00 for the revitalization of the Remembrance Garden. Both adults and youth, from
Holy Cross Lutheran Church, came together to clean
and prepare the garden for planting. This effort
is part of larger program shared among several congregations from different denominations to restore
this area. The garden serves as a place of
meditation and remembrance at this pregnancy center.
