2011- HOW DID WE DO?

Chapter of Excellence:
It appears we will not receive this award for 2011. We did not reach the goal set for us for membership growth.
Benefit Members – Goal 2 - We grew by 1.
Associate Members – Goal was 8 - We did not grow at all, (0).

But we did GREAT on volunteer hours reported - 1,221 hours reported and the goal was only 1,183 .

DITTO for total dollars raised - $15,740.73 raised and the goal was $7,205 – 185%.

We also exceeded the educational/social activities – 4 goal, 5 held.

In 2012 Thrivent has allocated $3,562 to be used for hands-on service projects and for supplement to fund-raising projects.

Educational/Social Activities:
Each of the 3 churches held a graduation and/or confirmation reception and received financial help from the Chapter’s operating funds.
At the time of the annual election, two of the churches had a program and/or distributed information on Thrivent Choice Dollars. They also received funds to help in carrying out these activities.

Thrivent Choice:
Wind River Chapter members who had been designated dollars to contribute to a church, school, or organization distributed dollars to their church as follows:
Grace Lutheran $1,038
St. Luke’s Lutheran 2,718
St. Paul Lutheran 1,472

Meetings:
The Chapter Leadership Board held 9 regular meetings and 4 on-line meetings.
Chapter leaders reported 335 hours were involved in carrying out the responsibilities of their position, in addition to about 2 hours at each regular meeting.

Operation Funds:
Thrivent Financial allocated $1,000 in January and July for operating funds. Of these funds 10% was used for Administration, 1% for Benevolence ((Service Team/Seed Money), 40% for Volunteer/Recognition; and 24% for Member Events/Awareness, and 25% was not used.
We also received $250 in January and July for Mailings. Of this amount 19.5% was used for our Mailings, all postcards.
In January 2012 we received $979 to be used toward operating expenses.

An officer serving on the Leadership Board cannot serve more than four consecutive years, but they can retire for two years and return after that for further service. Several of the officers will complete their maximum number of consecutive years to serve in December, 2012,. Some of the 3rd year Board members may choose to retire for one year, and then possibly return in the future for additional terms. SO WE NEED TO BE LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENTS.

Thrivent Choice

The Thrivent ChoiceSM program offers two ways members can help choose where to direct some of Thrivent Financial's charitable outreach funds. Some members can participate in both, based on eligibility. See program details.
