The church leaders of the Mahoning Valley came together at Eastwood Field, the home of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, to announce the awarding of a $14,800 grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The Regional Field Office, it’s Managing Partner, Steve Mechling, along with its local Financial Associates, Dave Maille, Gary Bonner, and Nancy Skopic represent over 5300 Thrivent members in the tri-county area. The grant will be used to construct and deliver a shower trailer. This trailer will be sent to the gulf coast region to support volunteer relief workers where facilities are limited.

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers have stepped forward, to partner with the coalition of churches, by donating $4.00 of every advanced box seat ticket sold to the June 26th game. These special ticket vouchers may be purchased through the coalition churches, members of the Trumbull Committee Organized in Assisting in Disasters, Mahoning Valley Lutheran Churches and its members.
