The South Cuyahoga County Chapter of Thrivent Financial, to glorify God, with unparalleled caring, provides financial support for those in need and inspires volunteers to make a difference in their congregations and communities.

Our chapter prides itself as an "A+" organization. In November 2005, the chapter's web site was the "web site of the month" and our chapter Communications Director received Thrivent Financial's "Volunteer Excellence" award for the Ohio Region. In 2006, 2007, and 2008, our chapter received the "Chapter of Excellence" award. Also in 2007, we were honored with a "Certificate of Special Recognition" by Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown.

Our chapter has 4,313 Thrivent Financial members in 2,518 households. These members, along with Lutheran congregations and the general public in the area, join together to volunteer in the local community. The chapter is one of nearly 1,400 geographic groups of Thrivent Financial members making a difference for organizations, congregations, and individuals in need within their communities.

As a fraternal benefit society, Thrivent Financial is a not-for-profit membership organization that works with and through its members to support their communities, congregations and individuals in need through volunteer activities and gifting programs.
