South Pinellas County Chapter - About Our Chapter

Thank you for visiting our chapter Website. South Pinellas County Chapter covers the southern part of Pinellas County in the Tampa Bay area of west central Florida. We currently have 15 church congregations within our chapter and we are the most densely populated Lutheran county in Florida.

To get to know us better, here are a few things we thought you'd like to know:
Chapters are organized geographically, primarily by county. All Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members belong to a chapter in the area in which they live, which enables them to aid themselves and others through voluntary action.
Our chapter is one of nearly 1,400 nationwide chartered local units of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans that brings Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members together for charitable, social and educational activities.
Our Chapter has a leadership board made up of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who are elected and/or appointed. The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating funds to service teams for helping individuals and community organizations.
Each year, our chapter has approximately $30,000 of Care Abounds in Communities® funds to help supplement fund-raising efforts or volunteer projects of these service teams.
