About Our Chapter
Thank you for visiting our chapter Web site. Here’s a few things you should know about our chapter.

Our chapter is one of nearly 1,400 nationwide chartered local units of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans that brings Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members together for charitable, social and educational activities. Chapters are organized geographically, primarily by county. All Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members belong to a chapter in the area in which they live, which enables them to aid themselves and others through voluntary action.

Each chapter has a leadership board made up of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who are elected and/or appointed. The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating funds to service teams for helping individuals and community organizations.

Recent projects and organizations that Thrivent has assisted in Seminole County this year:
* Toys and equipment for Lutheran Haven Childcare Center
* Matching funds for St. Luke’s & Ascension school children’s offerings to build a preschool in Cambodia.
* CROPWalk
* Cancer Society Walk for Life
* Habitat for Humanity in Seminole County
* “Bowls of Love” project to benefit local hunger programs
* “Tender Hands” ministry to parents whose infants have died
* Christian Sharing Center
* BETA
* Safehouse of Seminole
* Shepherd's Hope
* Various youth mission trips & community outreach projects
Meetings
Our meetings are the third Tuesday each month at 7:30 pm at Ascension Lutheran, 351 Ascension Drive, Casselberry.
All Lutherans invited to attend to learn how Thrivent funding has been working to make life better in our county.

Thrivent Join Hands Day activity last spring. Thrivent and other Lutheran volunteers helped The Sharing Center prepare for its 20th anniversary celebration by pressure washing the complex outside, painting inside, and preparing a bulk mailing of announcements
