Consider Partnering in Your Congregational Advocate Role |
Are you feeling overwhelmed in your role as congregational advocate? Or maybe you are enjoying some parts of the role more than others? Why not consider "partnering" as an option.Did you know you can ask other Thrivent Financial members from your congregation to join you in that role? Advocates are finding that having another member or two in the role has several benefits: Sharing the work – many hands make the load lighter – and providing support to each other. Representing the diversity of your congregation. Having people from different demographics with varied interests and passions helps provide better representation of the membership in the congregation. Complementing your skills. Surrounding yourselves with people who have skills and talents different than yours may make each of your advocate roles more enjoyable. Generating new ideas. Our online system allows up to eight advocates in each congregation. The congregational advocate role description (PDF, 41K) has been updated to reflect this change. | |
