FLU CLINIC INFORMATION
It's that time of year again - time to get your flu vaccine! Why get the influenza vaccine? Influenza (flu) is a serious disease. It is caused by a virus that spreads from infected persons to the nose or throat of others. Influenza can cause fever, cough, chills, sore throat, headache and muscle aches.
And, a pneumonia shot is recommended if you are age 65 or older or under 65 with certain chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart or lung diseases.
Cost: Medicare - Part B many of the Medicare Replacement Plans (including UnitedHealthCare Secure Horizon/Medicare Complete, Humana Gold Choice, Anthem/Unicare and others) and Medicaid (T19) will be accepted as payment for both shots upon showing the appropriate card.
For those without Medicare and T19 the cost is $30 for the flu vaccine and $45 for a pneumonia shot.
First come, first serve - no registration required.
