The East Cass County Chapter Board meets the first Monday of every month at 11:30am at Bethany Homes, South University Dr, Fargo. Get your application in as early as possible when requesting funds for an event. Please make sure that Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is mentioned in any publicity for events. If you are considering a fund-raiser or helping hands event in 2007 contact Jeff Flatland at fourjsinnd@msn.com or call him at 280-0228 to request the application packet. Be sure to mail back your application immediately to insure that the Chapter receives it in time to be considered for funding at the monthly meeting. THRIVENT BUILDS WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is a four-year, $105 million alliance between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International designed to help provide a "hand up" to people who lack decent shelter. Thrivent Financial is a faith based membership organization committed to helping its nearly 3 million members achieve financial security and give back to their congregations and communities. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry seeking to elinimate poverty housing. Locally, Thrivent volunteer chapters and Habitat affliates will help with fund raising and homebuilding. Lutherans and Thrivent Financial members are needed to volunteer on the build sites located in Fargo and West Fargo. Thrivent Builds Homes will provide 70% of the total approved cost for each home. The remaining funds will be raised through combined, ongoing local efforts of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans chapters, Lutheran congregations and institutions, and local Habitat for Humanity affliates.
