Thank you Thrivent Members
A very special thank you to all the Thrivent members who helped with the Douglas Animal Welfare Group's (DAWG) 5th annual tag sale. Thanks to those that donated items to be sold, bought items and donated your time. The event was a huge success! These funds will be used by DAWG to provide funds for animals at the shelter for spaying/neutering and other medical needs. DAWG is very thankful to have had the help of Thrivent members and matching funds. |

The Garden Cemetery was the scene of Join Hands Day Activity for Douglas/Alpine Thrivent. About 30 people came to repair one of the grave areas that had fallen into disrepare and spruce u p the rest of the cemetery. Earlier in the week one of the local contractors used his equipment to spread,level and compact the roads throughout the cemetery. The Thrivent Chapter used funds to purchase the roadbase, 1/2 inch gravel and paint for the days work. The temperature prevented the painting from happening on that day but it will be done. | |
