Prayer Shawl Ministry 2009

The prayer shawl ministry at the Kings Mountain Senior Center knits caps for our armed service men and women in September 2009 to be worn under their helmets. They feel it is a special privilege to provide comfort in this very small way.There are stringent rules that must be followed for safety sake. Only 100% wool can be used (such as we use for prayer shawls) as any synthetic would cause a flash fire. Only black, dark brown and dark grey can be used. |

The Prayer Shawl group wishes to thank Thrivent for support the ministry with funds to help them purchase yarn for the shawls. This year they sent 30 pure wool caps to servicemen overseas. What a great ministry!
