Effingham County GA Chapter

Martha Zeigler was named Effingham County’s Volunteer of the year 2008 during the annual
Rotary Club awards banquet on Thursday February 19, 2009 at the New Ebenezer Retreat
Center. The award was presented to Zeigler by Rotary Club International District Governor
Kenan Kern. She was recognized in her capacity with the Effingham County Chapter of
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, as well as a number of other volunteer services. Zeigler
has served as the Events Director for the Effingham County Chapter of Thrivent Financial
for Lutherans for the past four years.
Effingham County Chapter Happenings
A Thrivent Financial seminar will be held Tuesday April 28, 2009 at 6:45 PM at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center in the Mildred Kessler Learning Center. The speaker will be Steve Molen, managing partner of the Southeast Regional Financial Office of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Steve will present Thrivent's view of the economy and Thrivent's status. There will be a question and answer period. Refreshments will be served.

JOIN HANDS DAY
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
The Effingham County Chapter of Thrivent will be joining hands with Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County. Please come to Effingham High School in Springfield on Saturday May 2nd from 8:30-2:00 to help.
