Meet Pastor Johnathan Schnose
Pastor Schnose was born and raised in Arizona. He was trained at our synod's ministerial education schools, Arizona Lutheran Academy in Phoenix, Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin (now a part of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota), and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. He spent his vicar year at two rural congregations near Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Upon graduation in 1998, he was assigned to serve Mount Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain, Michigan. After four years there, Pastor Schnose took a call to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and served there eight years. After 12 years in the U.P., he accepted the Divine Call to Emanuel. He was installed at Emanuel on May 16, 2010.
