St. Peter's is located in Three Rivers, Michigan, and is a member of the Michigan District of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, a 2.6 million member church body headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, organized in 1844. Currently, our congregation numbers around 375 baptized members. The present site of our church was purchased in 1955 and the building was completed in 1958, with the educational wing completed in 1987. Our belief is:
That God created us to live with Him now and forever.
That we have lost this real life by going our own way (sin). This is evident by the trouble, failure and emptiness which is part of life.
That God has acted on our behalf to redeem us by offering forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
That a Christian centers his life on Christ Jesus, who is received by:
* Grace Alone
* Faith Alone
* Scripture Alone
That through this Good News of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit calls and keeps us in the faith until time and history are fulfilled.
That this new life means that one is a member of Christ's Body and Holy Christian Church.
